Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of The Woodhaven Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in the image of God to act as co-rulers over all the things that were created. We were to have dominion over all created things, and to multiply and fill the earth.
The fall
When Adam and Eve chose to define what is right and wrong in their own eyes, they found themselves unable to exist within God's holy presence. Ever since, humanity has been faced with a choice. To follow God's will, or our own.
Salvation
Messiah Jesus came to this earth to reconcile us with God. He died on the cross for our sins, and was raised from the grave so that we might have a living hope. King Jesus is the only way to an eternal relationship with God and his immeasurable grace. We choose to have faith in who Christ is, and in his rule over all things. We are immersed into his death and resurrected a new creation. A new creation bound for an eternal garden.
The church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of King Jesus.
ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
