WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting a new church can be intimidating, and we totally understand. We want you to feel comfortable when you visit us for worship, so we put together a little guide to show what you can expect from a typical service.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
That's right. Everyone. Regardless of race, religion, denomination, or personal worldviews.
MEETING TIMES
Sunday
Bible Class 9:30AM-10:15AM
Worship 10:30AM-11:30AM
Late Night Service 8:00-8:45PM
Wednesday
Reconnect 6:30-7:30PM
WORSHIP
What does a normal Sunday Service look like? At Woodhaven we try and keep it simple, and as close to the New Testament examples as we can. When we assemble on the Lord’s Day
PRAYER
We will have someone lead us in a community prayer to God.
SINGING
As a congregation we sing praise to our wonderful God. These songs that we sing are also songs of encouragement to each other! (We have song books if you don’t know the song! We have plenty of guests join us in singing, while others prefer to listen as we worship)
Communion
Each Sunday, we take part in a ceremony that Jesus himself started. We remember the death of King Jesus on the cross, by eating unleavened bread (bread without yeast) and fruit of the vine (grape juice.)
Teaching/Preaching
We enjoy a bible lesson that usually lasts about 30 minutes. Each lesson takes a bible passage, and explains what it means and how we can apply it to our lives.
Giving
At Woodhaven we are all about giving. Each week we offer an opportunity for members to contribute to fund mission work and community outreach. We give as we are able. (We do not ask or expect our guests to give anything in the offering!)
WEDNESDAY NIGHT RECONNECT
One of the things we like to do at Woodhaven is reconnect in the middle of the week. We’ll sing a few songs, say a few prayers, and we’ll talk about how our week has been going.
